In the Christmas rush don’t forget …

… our persecuted brothers and sisters.
Aid to the Church in Need (ACN) have given us a prayer for December.

Almighty and everlasting God, we ask that you comfort the millions of Christians who are unjustly discriminated against and persecuted for believing in you and proclaiming your name.

We ask especially this Advent that your Holy Spirit will be with our Christian brothers and sisters in the Middle East, bringing healing, relief and hope to them and their families.

We thank you Lord for the work of ACN, that this Christmas will be delivering food, shelter, medicine and gifts to the children.

We know that Christians who live in the Middle East, the birth place of our Lord, are particularly vulnerable to attack during their special Christmas celebrations and so ask that you to bless and protect your people.

Heavenly Father we also ask you to change the hearts of those who persecute and convert them to a life of love.

Amen.
